Summer 2026 SEMESTER:

Welcome students to a new semester of SOC 119!

The homepage of the website as well as the announcements page on Canvas
are designed to be tools for you to gage where we are in the semester.

Week #1: Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, July 8

1. Watch the Introduction video, and read the syllabus (on Canvas).
   Explore the class website, Canvas modules, and YouTube channel.
   Finally, take the syllabus quiz (on Canvas).

2. Watch Classes 1-4 and take the weekly quiz (on Canvas)
   after you’ve watched all of them.

3. Sections 002 & 003: You have your first meeting
   in the Willard Building TODAY (Wednesday)!
   Find the room number & time on the syllabus
   or announcements on Canvas

4. Office Hours is 100% optional, however students in
   Section 001, this might be a great way for you to connect with Sam.
   We should be going live on the YouTube channel at 3pm.
